What I did with my day off...

I had a lot of aspirations for my day off on Monday. Needless to say my life consist of dreaming of all the great things I'm not only going to accomplish that day but in my lifetime. Usually I either get bored or lack motivation to complete a lot of the things. BUT the biggest and most important thing on my list to finish was the art work for my wall (which I'll admit was my husbands doings. Oh I tried to help but after miserably failing at drawing a straight line on the wood he needed to cut I got demoted to kitchen duty). I'll post pictures of the finished product.

Tip of the day...

Lemon & Pepper Seasoning. That's all that needs to be said. This seasoning is all you need to give a blah meal a little something extra that will leave your company wondering what your secret ingredient is. But hey don't wait for company to come over to try it out. Pamper your taste buds and experiment with your favorite ingredients.

**What is my new favorite?
Sauteed spinach, roasted red peppers and mushrooms in a small amount of olive oil tossed with whole wheat penne and your favorite brand of Alfredo. Cover with mozzarella cheese and bake until melted. I made a separate pan for my husband and added grilled chicken seasoned in the Lemon and Pepper Seasoning.

Here is the brand I like to use. It can be found at any of your local food marts.

Things I should do with my day off...

1. Work on the dresser I started to make look "vintage" but never finished.

2. Perfect the art of scone making.

3. Do laundry and organize my whirlwind of a bedroom.

4. Help my husband finish the art work for our livingroom wall that I have been
pushing him to finish.

5. Teach my pig to not pee on the carpets.

I'll get back to you on how all this went.

Carpe Diem everyone!

Tip of the day...

Looking for a little extra out of that boring ol' clay mask?
Let hot water run over the bottle or soak in a bowl of really hot water for 5 to 10 min before applying to your face. It penetrates and cleanses a little more plus the warm mask is relaxing and not quite as shocking as when applied cold.

*Just don't squeeze too hard or it will go EVERYWHERE!

Here is the brand I like to use. It can be found at your local Walmart.
